summer sports update

The state age-group 40K bike time trial was at the end of June.  Not a good race for me, I had a bit of trouble with the heat, and slowed down a lot on the last 10K of the race.  My time was 58:00, for 3rd place in 55-59 age group.

Two weeks later I did a 56:43 on a 40K bike time trial in Castroville, TX, on another hot day. That was much better, and my best time for a 40K on the bike.

The Waco triathlon was on July 28th.  I had a good race, 10th place out of 300:

       1.5 K swim: 24:31
       swim-to-bike transition: 2:38
       25 mile bike: 1:02:25
       bike-to-run transition: 1:33
       10K run: 46:02

        total time: 2:17:06
